The secret smile affected him much more than the practiced ones she’d already given him.
“When are you going to start asking me questions?” he asked.
Belle cocked her head and pursed her lips. His blood spiked, the talisman warmed, and he pulled back from his baser instincts. This was getting ridiculous.
“What am I supposed to be interrogating you on, Mr. Léandre?” Belle’s voice was slightly breathless.
His blood responded even while his brain told him she did it on purpose. “Why did you agree to have dinner with me?”
“You’re interrogating me, now?” She shrugged. Her jacket shifted, revealing the curves he’d been trying to see earlier.
He wasn’t sure he could make it to the restaurant before he ravished her and that pissed him off. There had to be magic at work here. He shouldn’t be reacting to her as deeply as he was.
“I’m here, because you asked,” Belle answered.
He had to touch her even if it was a mistake. Alexander shook his head and reached out to slide a finger along her thigh. He noted with satisfaction her heart speeding up at the contact. “I didn’t ask.”
“Okay, you threw down a challenge. Why did you?”

My Review:
What a great short story!!! This was a quick read with lots of action and lust.... I mean love at first sight! Belle works with her father in their family business that was started by her deceased mother. Unfortunately, Belle's dad has not made very wise business deals and is about to lose everything her mother worked so hard for. Belle has been used by her father for being just a pretty face and a distraction for the men he deals with. All of that changes when Belle is asked to "distract" Alexander, the businessman who is about to take over her mother's beloved business. Little does Belle know that Alexander has a secret and one that involves her mother and her mother's descendants!
Belle and Alexander have an instant chemistry and one so sexually HOT that it is impossible to ignore. They quickly learn that any other agendas will have to be placed on hold so they can explore this draw they have to one another. I was totally rooting for Belle to be able to keep the business, but for her and Alexander to find love as well. The chemistry between these two characters made for some steamy sex scenes and lots of HE DID NOT JUST DO THAT moments! As secrets were exposed, I found myself devouring page after page of this book to see how it would end!
I give The Beast's Redemption 3.8 stars on the knock my socks off scale! My main wish for this book would have been for it to have been a tad longer. That way Belle and Alexander could have taken a bit more time for the seduction phase and their sex wouldn't have been so wham bam thank you ma'am. Did I still love this story... Heck yes!!! Did I still find their love scenes hot as Hades... Yes ma'am!!! Overall, this is a must read and the quickness of the story makes for a quick get away. :)
